The Droitwich Spa Civic Society depends heavily on the skills, experience and vision of its members when considering the potential for enhancing the town’s landscape and identifying ways in which the town may be developed to provide improvements for the benefit of residents, workers and visitors.
By identifying potential development sites and suggesting how they might be best developed, the Civic Society’s opinions are well respected and considered. Frequently the society has met with representatives of the Worcestershire County Council, Wychavon District Council and members of Droitwich Spa Town Council to consult with and discuss such ideas more fully. Whilst not all aspects of these consultations and proposals are adopted, it is reassuring to see that some elements of the consultations and proposals are to be seen within the development plans and planning applications submitted.
